Stages of Chiropractic Care
Stages of Chiropractic Care
Most patients move through three phases of care, each designed to support recovery, restore function, and maintain long-term health. Your care plan will be tailored to your needs and goals at every stage.
Relief Care: Reducing Pain & Discomfort
The first stage focuses on helping you feel better as quickly as possible. Care is directed at reducing pain, inflammation, and muscle tension so you can return to your daily activities.
You may be advised to take it easy while staying gently active, as long as it’s safe to do so. Treatments during this phase are designed to provide effective, short-term relief and improve comfort.
Corrective Care: Restoring Function & Healing
Once your symptoms begin to improve, the focus shifts to addressing the underlying cause of your condition. This stage supports proper healing of tissues and helps restore normal movement and function.
Even if you’re feeling better, healing may still be in progress. Following your care plan—including appointments, exercises, and at-home recommendations—is key to preventing the issue from returning.
Wellness Care: Maintaining Long-Term Health
After recovery, many patients choose to continue with periodic checkups to maintain their progress. This stage focuses on preventing future issues, supporting spinal health, and helping you stay active and well.
Just like regular dental visits, ongoing care can help identify small concerns before they become bigger problems—supporting your long-term health and mobility.
